Yet Another Studio - Workshops

Public workshops are currently paused as I focus on building Effective Customer Conversations at Reforge.

Workshops

I offer workshops publicly and privately to teams and companies.

For private workshops, I work with you to design curriculum that is tailored to you and your organizational needs. With my current bandwidth, we’re limited to one-day engagements and are focused primarily on areas of:

  • Democratizing and scaling research within an organization

  • Growing a research practice within an organization

  • Research for non-researchers

If you’re interested, send me an email and let me know what you’re thinking. If I am able to help, I will, otherwise I am happy to refer you to someone within my network who may be a better fit.

Democratizing Research: What Giving Away Legos Looks Like in Practice

Some organizations view research as an activity and a practice that many teams and roles engage in, allowing researchers themselves to be “player-coaches” on their teams - alternating between providing guidance and being in the field. This workshop will help attendees understand what the role of a researcher is in these kinds of situations and how to build programs and processes that empower partner teams to take part in (and own) research activities themselves.

This workshop is ideal for experienced researchers and research leaders who are interested and capable of bringing change to their organization’s research practices and want a better understanding of how this can be done.

Research for Non Researchers

Research for Non Researchers is a workshop focused on providing you with an overview of research fundamentals so that you can make decisions more effectively with your customers in mind, regardless of your company size or job title.

The ideal participant is someone who regularly interacts with (or wants to interact with) customers and wants to be more structured and rigorous in their approach. Product Managers, Designers, and Marketing Managers are all roles that have benefitted from this workshop in the past, learning how to better incorporate research into their work. This is especially true in smaller companies without a dedicated research function.

You can learn more about past versions of this workshop here and if you are interested, I highly suggest looking at my current course offerings.
